Accommodations at Silver River Adobe Inn

Rustic elegance awaits you at the Silver River Adobe Inn Bed and Breakfast which was built in the traditional architecture of northern New Mexico and offers views of the San Juan River from each room. Driving through the high desert of New Mexico you may have begun to wonder when you will find water. Take a moment to breathe in the blessing of the San Juan River and imagine it flowing on to the Colorado and Lake Powell.

The Cottonwood and Juniper rooms share a patio. On an evening with the moon visible you may see the “SILVER” river as the moon reflects its magnificence.  You will find this “SILVER” again at the bend of the river just a few feet from your entrance door. Each room has a microwave and small refrigerator, plus ample lights above each bed for a good evening’s read. The shower walls and floors feature marble tiles, as well as, natural light from a group of block glass along one wall of each shower.

The suite includes living and dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom which give you rather spacious living quarters during your stay with us. The suite is an adobe surround with artistic traditional Northern New Mexico and Craftsman architecture. The front hand door was hand made by the architect, Roy Davin, with over twenty pieces of wood featuring a turquoise door knocker from Mexico which Roy gave to us and completes the artistic expression. On the east wall of the hall leading from the front door with the bedroom on the right and leading to the living and dining room, are three small windows, a traditional style.

The bedroom has a window looking out to the river and the cliffroses which are in bloom May through June. One of the largest cottonwood trees can be seen from these windows which house a number of birds. In the bedroom you will find a queen bed surrounded by thick luxurious hand tied wool rugs, Tiffany style bedside lamps, and a closet whose doors are also hand made by architect Roy Davin. In the closet are shelves for storing your luggage pieces. Mexican tile adds a decorative touch in the bathroom and shower and also in the kitchen.  The kitchen’s amenities include a refrigerator, a stove top, a microwave plus kitchen utensils. The doors and cabinets of the kitchen and the bathroom were again, hand made by Roy Davin.
